Dorothee Schumacher

Dorothee Schumacher was born in Dusseldorf and grew up in the German countryside. After initial work experience at an Italian knitwear manufacturer and several stays in France, she founded her own label in 1989 with a T-shirt collection. After just three years, Dorothee Schumacher extended her collections by adding knitwear, opening her first showroom in Dusseldorf in 1994, with showrooms in Paris and Milan soon to follow. At the same time, she successfully expanded to Italy. Soon with the U.S. as their second strongest market and others that followed. 

The brand is adored for their beautiful proportions, masterful drapery and a feminine aesthetic that translates easily into everyday life.
